Hi,

I thought I'd let everyone in on the prank I pulled on my GP. Now I've been a patient in this practice for @ 14yrs. So I have gotten to know all these docs really well and my hubby and youngest daughter are also patients there. Anyways, back in April I was in for a check-up, my doc happened to ask when I had my last pap smear. I told him it had been about five years. Of course he had a bit of a fit. Insisted I schedule one. I asked him if he wanted to do it himself or refer me out, he said he'd do it so I scheduled him to do it. I was his first patient of the morning so I (being just a bit ornery) Ha! let his nurse in on what I was going to do, she cracked up. I disrobed, put on the gowns and waited for doc to come in. When he came in he asked if there was anything I had a question about before we got started, I told him no-he postions me flips up the drape sheet and almost fell off his stool. ROFLMBO!!! I had posted a "sticky note" down there that said, "OUT OF ORDER". :rotfl:

Of course it took him a moment to compose himself (tee-hee) then he tells me he should have expected something like that from me. (Yep, he sure should have) I told him for all the "surprises" he's given me in the way of additional dx's, strict instructions and so forth through the last few years it was the least I could do!

Hope this gives you all a little laugh.

You are so wonderfully blessed to have such a great doctor that you can joke around with. So many times some of these doctors are very matter-of-fact and quite honestly they give very little time to their patients. When you find one that is not only our physician but our friend as well, it is wonderful. I am sure you gave him a laugh for the rest of the day.

I told my Hubby about this & he put his hand to his mouth looking so shocked.

Way to go girl! You have guts. This is the best story I've heard in ages. I'm due for a smear test but couldn't possibly do anything like that to my nurse, she is adorable.

Hey All,
Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, my doc is my friend, and well as my "medical advisor", I worship the relationship. Yes Raglet, next smear should read something even better! :rotfl: Loopylu, sorry if I shocked your poor hubby, I'm just me being me. (tee-Hee)
Here are some things I now live by, 1. Laughter is the best medicine. 2. I've already forgotten more things than I will ever know again. 3. Treasure the things and people in your life who make you feel good, forget the rest. 4. My husband is truly a saint! 5. Being a grandmother is the absolute best.

Love, Hugs and Chocolate,

Michelle
