I emailed my rheumie to get a new form for my B cell tests. She emailed back that she was overseas, but she had her registrar send me a new form (I seem to have lost my previous form).
I think the form I have received in the post is wrong - it says to test serum immunoglobulin.
Well, the last form I had had a bunch of stuff on it - can't remember exactly, but am pretty sure it was CD19 & 20, plus a variety of other stuff (including my regular lupus markers - anti-ds-dna etc etc).
So, now I am not sure whether to have this test done or not. I am thinking probably the best thing to do is go have this test done, then wait a couple of weeks then email my rheumie (who will likely be back by then) and get her to send me another form if it turns out to be the wrong one.
what do you think ?
cheers

just noticed that it is also on the wrong form - the previous one was on a hospital lab form, this one is on a local neighbourhood form, which means that I can go to my local lab for the test. To have my b cells tested, I was having to go into the hospital lab, which is a pain, but the tests can't be done in local labs. Which I guess is more evidence that it is the wrong tests. But, it is real easy for me to go up to the local lab and have a test done, takes me 10 minutes, so I guess I might as well do it incase it is the right one (though I doubt it)
