Hello,
I just found out at 3:00am(I am having serious sleep issues) that our daughters cat died. This cat was just 2 and was just a plain brat to my husband and I(we hadnickname for her starts w/ a b and ryhme(sp?) w. witch. She was gorgeous and she loved my daughter.

She was hit by a car-she is supposed to be a indoor cat.
My hubby gave her medicine to keep comfortable until tomorrow. My DD stayed up all night with her and xame down to tell us. It rips my heart out to see her hurt so bad. We lost a cat in 1-2007 due to an illness.

My daughter loves to come and read your posts and even posted on one. She has HUGE heart. If you coul keep our family in prayers that would be good. If you would like to reply to DD I am sure she would feel important.8)

Dear Becca and Daughter,

Hello,
AS the owner of three cats and guardian of two strays, I am really sorry to hear your news. We had one cat killed by a car years ago and I still hate to think about it.
I am so glad you were brave enough to sit up with her and she wasn't alone.
I hope you both can remember all her little ways and find something to smile at, it was a terribly, disappointingly short life. I really feel for you, you probably expected to enjoy her for years yet.
x Lola

Becca and DD,
I am so sorry you lost your dear kitty. I agree with Lola, it was so brave of you to sit up with her, and she must have been very comforted by your loving presence. I am glad you got to know and love her for two years, and wish it could have been longer. Cats have such unique and strong personalities, sort of like little furry four legged people, lol. (((((hugs)))))) and warm wishes.

Hi Becca's Daughter :wavey:

I am so sorry for the loss of your cat, no one will know how you feel unles they have gone through losing a pet. It sounds like she was your best friend.

In time it will get easier but you will never forget her. Staying up all night with her was both loving and brave of you. You probably eased her journey and at least she is no longer in pain.

Have you heard of Rainbow Bridge - that's where animals go when they die & they can run pain free. There are some websites where you can post a memorial to your pet with a photo or a poem.

Remember the good times with her & try to keep smiling.

Hugz,

Pam xxx

I am so sorry that your family lost your cat. Animals are like another family member and it is bad when they pass. I recently got married a few weeks ago and purchased a ****zu since we have a family one that is 10 yrs old at my mothers house and a cat also. I have had a dog to pass before and it felt like my child had passed. Tell your dd that I am very sorry .:foryou:

I'm so sorry for your daughter's loss of her beloved friend and pet.
The loss of a pet is not an easy thing to deal with.... they become a part of the family and their loss is very hard to deal with.
My prayers are with her as she copes with this terrible loss.
Until one has had a pet like that, it is hard to understand the sense of loss.
Although the precious cat can never be replaced, there are so many others out there who need a warm, loving home - and it will help ease the pain just knowing that she has helped to share that love with another.

Shalom,
Beth

Hello,
Thank you all-I truly appreciated your posts. My DD was very touched. These are the times when it is hard bing a parent, because they are heart broken and we can't fix it.

I am not looking forward to her first "break-up" with a boyfriend:worried:

Jen-Congratulations again!!! It is so funny because when hubby and I first got married we went and adopted cats.
They were our babies-our love bugs. They were spoiled and they ruled the roost right up until my DD was born. I still loved them, but they were not ruling us anymore:rotfl:
So you puppy dog will be your baby.

I have a doxie /weiner oldie dog that is my "baby" and I will be crushed when she goes which could be at anytime.
Animals are truly the best.

Thank You,
Becca:)
