I am sitting here while my daughter is trying out her new toy, a hair straightener/curler that she bought today with money from her great uncle.
Quite why she has to practise on me escapes me (hmm, now I seem to remember that she has quite a bit of hair herself) but no, mum is the first victim. She is currently busy warming up my left ear - eeekkk, I am STILL growing my hair out from cytoxan that I finished a year ago, I am only hoping is she does start a fire then it can be restricted to the full length hair, not my regrowth. Please not my regrowth, it is still only half as long as the rest of my hair, it takes so long to grow out.
hhhmmm, anyone heard of installing firedoors in their hair, and have they been successful ? Which type would you recommend ?
I can't imagine what i look like with dead straight hair - actually last I hear was DD muttering something about trying straight hair on one side and ringlets on the other - gosh, the man in the corner dairy IS going to get a shock tonight when I pop in for some bread and milk.
Dum de doo - anyone for a game of 500 ?
cheers

:rotfl: I have always thought that hair straighteners/ curlers reminded me of instruments of torure!
Good luck with the new look, could it be start of a new trend! I sort of fondly remember the 80's and my 'crimped' look.
But, being more serious, they do get very hot, I would think that she wants to stay away from the roots/ new growth.
Praps offering to give her a new look would be a good distractor!

Oh I do feel sorry for you!!!!:rotfl: Glad I am over that stage in my life. I tried on of those straighteners and almost pulled out half my hair. Be brave and have fun.:)

omg Alwin, great minds think alike - I have already suggested she tries the dog :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
We have a golden retriever with their great fluffy tail swishing around the place - seems like a good choice to me (and he is so laid back I am sure he wouldn't mind, kids can do ANYTHING with him) but no, it didn't suit madams tastes

Alwin :love:did you type in the word or click the smilie itself??
You dont have to type your smilies in yourself. You can just click them...
Over on the right where the smilies are in your reply box just click the word (More) and then when the box comes up there is a drop down arrow at the top with various different options. Have a look through them.....
That smilie is called 'love' ....just try typing it in with small letters
Oh and Raglet.......keep a fire extinguisher handy and packs and packs of ice!
Cheers

My kids have done the same thing to me many times. I am always amazed at what I end up with. I have had numerous pigtails in my hair, along with super straight hair, half curled hair, etc. The one thing that I can say that I have all the time every time is a wonderful head ache from all the hair pulling.
