Hi everyone

A couple of months ago i submitted a post regarding sunblock. Due to the changes my employer wanted to make in the way i work. Well since April i have been going through a grievance procedure at work, as the changes they want to make will cause me a detriment to my health.

Throughout this time i have been suffering from stress, my G.P. has prescribed me an antidepressant, which although it has helped in some way, it has'nt aleveated the symptoms comletely.

The reason i am writing is due to my routine rheumatology appointment that i attended on Monday. I have been very fortunate so far in not having any organ involvement. So on Monday at the hospital i was devastated to discover i had protein in my urine sample. Due to the lateness of my appointment i had to return to the hospital the following day for an X-ray. I have been suffering from chest pains also over the past couple of months. The X-ray indicated i had fluid on my lungs.

I am now awaiting for a full investigation and may get called back for a furhter appointment with my rhuemy. The problems i am encountering at work are difficult enough to deal with, the added deterioration in my health is really causing me a lot of concern.

I haven't got a specific question, because there are to many in my head to write. I would just like your thoughts and any advice.

Thanks

Derek

Hi Derek

((((((((((((((Derek)))))))))))))))

That is what we are here for - so you can unload what you need to.

Has your rheumy suggested changes to your meds?

Take it easy....

Hi Derek

You sure have a lot on your plate at the moment and I am so sorry to hear about it. Remember that there are several very effective treatments when organs are involved. I guess one has to think, better to discover problems now rather than later. Maybe it won't be all that bad.

Maybe your GP can suggest more effective anti depression. It can take some time to find the right one.

Let us know how you get on please

Meanwhile many hugs and wishing you good luck for everything

Clare

Dear Derek,
I remember your original post, because it is so worrying to have these employment problems. I can only wish you all the best. I hope you have good support from a Union or similar.
Sorry about the latest health worries, let's hope it is just a blip!
x Lola

Thanks everyone for your kind words i really appreciate it.

All the stuff i've got going on at the moment is reminding me of when i first got diagnosed. A lot of waiting around, not sure exactly what going to happen, or how to deal with it when it does happen.

There are two things giving me hope, and they are i've been in a similar situation before and im still here.

The second is everyone who is helping and supporting me through this, that includes everyone of you one this site.

Many many thanks

Derek
