this is kind of off-topic, and maybe has already been mentioned elsewhere on the board, but in looking around that site i found a really interesting discussion of ANA titres (http://www.goldscout.com/ANAD.htm)

Hi,

Just a reply about ANA titres. I have had low positive ANA, have a blood disorder they feel it is auto-ammune as I have had it 5 times it is thrombotic thrombocytopenia purpura T.T.P a blood clotting disorder that goes into remission with medications and treatment I also have Crohns disease another auto-ammune disease. I have also had many other symptoms but never had it investigated as I can live them.

Now my daughter 17 also had a positive ANA, actually lower than mine and had a severe form of CNS Lupus. She also suffered a massive blood clot to the brain.

Both of us have Positive ANA's and auto-ammune disorders

It really makes you wonder?

University of Chicago Hospitals have huge lupus research centers and stuff. There's also a good childrens hospital here. But my doctor left *cries*

Oh but I could say - he was Charles Spencer. I think he's in Columbus now? Columbia? No. The place in Ohio. Columbus. I loved him to death, he was my doctor since I was 9, and I plan to haunt his office in Ohio if I go to school there :D
