Don't forget if your Daughter finally gets DLA Care at Middle rate or above ,you could claim Carer's Allowance for looking after her. Currently over 48.00 per week, so worth having.

Yes, im 19 and ive claimed dla since i was 17. They also back pay you from the beginning of her being poorly! My mum is paid to be my carer too. But she will lose this now because she is back working. I have been back in work for 4 months and i can stil claim DLA. I am also part of the mobility scheme. They have paid for free driving lessons for me and insured me and my mum to drive the mobility car for me. I get free road tax, free insurance, free lessons, free driving test and theory test also a tax disc and a disability parking badge. They are also willing to pay for someone elses lessons to help with the mobility of the disabled person. So all you have to worry about is the petrol.
I get around £340 a month DLA. With the car i get £172 because they take your mobility allowance of you. Im working 16hours a week now and claiming working tax credits. I hope this helps!
