I was wondering if there are any men here with lupus who also have symptoms of ED? I have lupus and have not been officially diagnosed with ED. However, the symptoms of ED are there and I don't want to resort to taking pills but I feel helpless to beat it mentally without some sort of prescription.

I guess the best way to describe it without getting too graphic is that it is nearly impossible to get 100%-I'd say I get about 70% of what I used to be able to ever since lupus symptoms appeared three years ago. And even after the 70% its nearly impossible to keep it there for more than mere seconds.

I am getting married in ten months and I don't want this to inhibit our ability to consummate. My fiance and I are waiting and she already is so patient with my joint pain-I would really feel emasculated if I couldn't perform. Its very difficult to talk about it with her because she doesn't understand, let alone how difficult it is for me to explain it to a woman. Any insight is appreciated!!

Fear not Andrew, it's one prescription you will be happy to take!

Talk to your doctor and ask for some free samples, There are 3 different flavors I call vitamins V, L, & C. I find V works best for me and my doc gives me samples when he can. The 50mg I cut in half and do the job nicely. The 100mg ones I buy get cut into 1/4's. I think I get more like 110% now compared to, well less than 70% before. The positive effects can last a couple of days too, it will depend on how well your body works with it. It takes 20-60 minutes for full effect, so you will have to work out the timing.

As with all new meds, watch for any side effects and remember there are 3 different ones. If your doc is good with samples, try them all and see which one works best for you. I completely understand how you feel. This is worth the trouble and your wife will enjoy it as well.

Good luck and take care....

Andrew,

I just listened to a legit radio news program yesterday that ran a story on this topic. It stated studies have been done and revealed that Pomegrante Juice has helped to solve this problem for many men. They concluded that it is so rich in antiox's that this was one of the benefits. There was much more, however the focus of the story was that this could be a new breakthrough without the risks of side effects with the meds that are on the market currently.

I know it seems way to easy of a solution, but it's natural and maybe worth a try??? Perhaps if you do some research online you can learn more.

Good Luck
Pam

I had nearly the same problem, but didn't really want to resort to being on a time schedule, figuring when to take a pill, etc. I had read Testosterone levels were generally low in Lupus patients, so I asked to be tested, and mine were extremely low. So I got a patch and that solved my problem, but a bit too much. Morning erections were enough to wake me up if I was sleeping on my stomach. Anyway, I switched to a gel, and now I can control the levels based on how I feel. Another positive is it will help with recovery from exercise or even stress. Without it, I lose that sense of inner strength that makes facing this disease just another little stumbling block to be dealt with.
