  • My SSDI Hearing...

Hi guys, I haven't been here in such a long time, that I feel really bad about that!

Well I just had my 1st hearing this past Monday Sept.8th, and my Attorney said it looks really well. I was denied over a year ago, and then it was set over for an appeal. This is how it turned out at the hearing. The judge asked me about my illnesses, and how they affect me so on & so on.... That part seem to go really well. But then they (SSA) had a Occupational Specialist who was to find work for me, but after reading all my limitations, she said maybe there's one, but she wasn't too sure about that either. I`m worried I won't get it because the Judge was so mean, and was acting like am not really ill. My Attorney said it went real fine, but isn't that what they all say????

Please let me know what you think about this and if am denied again what are my chances?

    Thanks Connie

    Hi Connie,

I never went through the hearing process so I can't help you there. I just wanted to wish you luck.

Did the judge give you a sense of how long it will take to get the decision?

Each state seems to be different. You would need to check in your state to see what the hearing appeal process would be.

    Take care,

Thanks Crazylegs for being so kind, it's so needed these days... I have been DX with Lupus since 1998, and was just declared disabled by my Doctor in 2006, so this has been a really hard battle for me, like most of you. I was very sick last Monday when I had my hearing, I could barely talk, and my foot/leg is in a bootcast. So the judge could see that I was sick and not doing too well, but you never know about these things. Like I said my Attorney said it went really well, but am afraid to get my hopes up. I feel like I have a better chance to win the lottery.

          Well thanks again,

            Thanks ZOI

Thank you as well for being so kind, I will let you know when I hear something. My Attorney said it would be in a few days, but who knows how long that really is? So far it's Sunday night and I haven't heard a word, so it's a waiting game I guess

            Thanks again

              I Got it!!!!

Thanks to both of you (crazylegs & Zoi) I just found out that I got my SSDI, and my Attorney said I will get it in 2 months I was so afraid that I might not get it, as you both know... I did a lot of praying and it seem to work!

              Thanks again

Congradulations. Please keep all your documents. SSD does do reviews.

                Once again congrats.
