Dr just ordered CT with contrast of Neck and regular CT of Lungs as well. Also scheduled for pulm funct testing. (The Lungs were an add on since there has been breathing probs for awhile and would be there for a neck scan anyway.)

Anyone know what use the CT scans are and what they might be able to find through those types of tests?
Trying to make sure they are worth all the radiation exposure. Seeing as there have already been many xrays in lifetime.

Are these tests typical with Lupus and or MCTD?

Already done ultrasound of thyroid, evidence of thryroiditis but never able to get it (test) done while thryoid was still swollen scheduling was never able to work out at the same time. Experienceing swollen feeling in throat random choking and trouble swollowing and choking on liquids.
