Sorry to hear about you. Rheumatoid Arthritis is difficult to handle especially when you are a foodie like me...

    Best of Luck

I know this is an old thread, but found it interesting that someone else has had the same experience. Dental extras and confirmation by an oral surgeon provided the totally unexpected announcement that both sides of my jaw are so thin they will collapse. When I asked? Could be tomorrow ... could be a few years. That was 18 months ago. I call it the "flavor of the week." There is ALWAYS something. My brain can no longer grasp it.

Do they have you on any of the bone density medications to help slow down the process?

I have forgotten about this. I still have trouble with my jaw but there has been no changes other than waiting for something to go wrong. I have an awful problem with biting my tongue all the time but lucky enough I still have it all lol.

    Hi all.
This came up on my thread again. Still having trouble with my jaw and started clenching my teeth again and can’t seem to stop it. I’ve got a gum guard to ware so that helps a bit.
Through the covid I’ve had no meds from anywhere other than my pain killers. Normally I have a steroid injection to help with my illnesses but nothing for 10 months. Never mind I’m coping lol. Hope all are doing good.
    Take care and keep safe

Have you tried any relaxation exercises or facial massage to help? It is very easy to hold stress in the jaw without knowing it.

    Hi lazy legs andpagespark.
I massage my jaw when it is painful. The jaw socket is waring away so there’s only half of ball joint there. I had to wizz my food up for a while because I couldn’t chew.
I watch what I eat now and cut meat small.
I seem to be a bit stressed at the moment. Specialist holding off on steroid injection coz of covid. Going for bloods on the 7th Oct then my specialist is giving me a ring on what’s going on. May have my steroid injection with my doctors save me going down to the hospital.
Take care everyone and keep safe

Check out the yoga facial exercises. They won't be relaxing while you are doing them but afterwards I usually feel great.
