I haven't been in this situation as I'm in the same job as before I was diagnosed. However, Lupus is a disability so you shouldn't be discriminated against because of it. Are you considering a new job because of how your health is affecting you as employers have a responsibility to accommodate you and make all necessary 'reasonable' adjustments to make sure you can continue to work.

    I hope this helps.

Hi I am job seeking at the moment as had to resign from my job as a teaching assistant last year due to a new boss who wasnt as understanding as the old one:(. I havent put on my applications/CV that I am disabled but always explain about my condition at the interview. I also am working with a charity that I was referred to through the job centre. They specialise in helping people with disabilities/disadvantages getting a job. I think it depends on your personal cicumstances on whether you say you are disabled or not and what sort of job you are applying for. Evie17
