A couple of weeks ago i was in the hospital with my son.

i noticed after using the bathroom and washing my hands, that all my fingers underneath my cuticles were like a purple color, and to this day they are still like that.

has anyone got this, any ideas. i would appreciate your comments.

Yep sounds like raynaud's. Of course sicuss this with oyur physcian and let them know of this new symptom.

I have it and really not much to be done for it on my end. Certain BP meds work but they give me migraines.

No mine comes and goes. Try putting your hands on something warmer. Not hot but warmer to see if that helps. If not I would go to a walk in clinic.

Hi Sushi,

I have severe raynauds. I'm on procardia and viagra for it and rheum told me to keep the house at 75-80 degrees. Anyway, I still get attacks, a lot lately and my rheum said it is because I am stressed. Stress can be a major trigger for a raynaud attack. Maybe whatever the reason you were in the hospital, really stressed you out. Let us know, I hope you feel better.

hi germanshepards, you are exactly right i was in the hospital with my son and because of the situation with him i cried almost all night and was very stressed out.

that was about 2 months ago and i still have this color around all my fingers.

yesterday i went to see my gp and she said it couldnt be raynalds because my hands were very warm and im not getting the symtoms from that.

she thinks it part of a lupus flare that im going through right now. im taking naproxen for the next few days. until i see my rhumy next thursday.

thank you for replying.

Raynauds

Hello, My name is Connie, My Rhumatologist, thinks that I have mixed connective tissue disease, he thinks systemic lupus, scleraderma, and now Raynauds. I did not know that I had Raynauds until last March. I was working the night shift, I am a nurse, and In the mornings when I would get into my car around 7:30 am, while warming my car, my fingers started turning white, and yellow, and they were numb, they would kind of drop with no circulation, they actually looked dead. I did not even know what it was, even though I was coming to this site, I was new and still trying to figure out what was wrong with me. It is very scary, and I so sorry that you are going through this, I understand. Do you have Lupus, or is all of this stuff new too you? It looks like this winter, I will be wearing gloves, and using handwarmers, which mostly everything I know about Lupus I have read on this site. Talk to you soon, and hang in there !!!
