Hi Julie,

The boards are a bit quiet at the moment - lots of people are away for the Christmas-New year vaccation I suspect. There are certainly people who take cellcept. It is becoming a pretty well respected lupus med. Salagen I'm not fammiliar with.

Sorry, but I don't take either of them.

Hang in there and check the boards from time to time - I'm sure someone will be along within a few days who has personal experience. If your post doesn't get amswered today, you can always 'bump' it, by posting yourself. That way it will get seen again by the people who read the forums by using the 'new post' function.

Cheers,

Sorry, although I'm taking Cellcept I'm only on 750mg (3 X 250 mg). Not that I would object to increasing it if I knew how I was going to pay for it. When we first started the Cellcept (at 500 mg a day) and when we added the third pill about a year later, I've felt a definite increase in feeling better each time.

Hi Julie,

I have been on 6 x 500 mgs for almost 4 years now. It took until recently to cause any stomach issues. Protonix has taken care of that.

What type of problems are you having? If Cell Cept has been working for you I hope you don't have to be taken off of it. Maybe the dosage could be cut back and the symptoms will ease.

Biotene products have been enough to help my dry mouth issues so I haven't had to use Salagen.

Take care,

Biotene products are used to help dry mouth symptoms. They were recommended to me by my dentist. They are sold over the counter. I use the toothpaste, mouthwash and gel. My dry mouth symptoms have really improved.

If you think the Salagen is causing you problems you should let your doctor know. The following site lists some of the side effects. It does mention blurry vision.
