Hi everyone,

I am back from a 10 day trip to France and I am so jet lagged it is horrible.

I have a appointment with a new Rheumy doctor tomorrow and she is a woman so I am hopeful that she will listen better then the last GUY did.

I am bringing all of my test results with me including the latest blood work that shows I do not have Lyme disease after all.

I will update you all after my visit tomorrow.

Now my face is numb, half my back is numb and one whole leg is numb from the groin down to my toes.

It is a great life if you don't weaken!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I certainly hope this rheumy can provide some additional insight and treatment options that work for you. It doesn't seem possible that it's been 10 days since you left but I guess it has! Best luck for a great appointment tomorrow and I look forward to the update. :)

Do you think that numbness has anything to do with sitting on an overseas flight? ;) It doesn't sound good at all!

Hi Maja,

Yeah, time flies when your having fun huh!!!:wink2:

The numbness in my face and back started before I left for France and has just gotten worse.

Is numbness common with Lupus?
Hi Karol,

Welcome back! Good luck with your Rheumy appt tomorrow :luck:

Numbness and tingling can occur with Lupus often when peripheral nerves are involved. How is your vitamin B level? Has it been tested recently?

I get a B-12 shot monthly so my levels are good.

EMG nerve studies have shown that I do in fact have peripheral nerve damage and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome too.

I just posted that I was officially dx with Lupus today and also Antiphospholipid Syndrome. The Rheumy doctor said I am a clear Lupus case.
