Sometimes I feel like I am just full of bad luck. I was supposed to close on my new house yesterday. That didn't happen because the well water test came back to high in lead. They reran the test on Friday and it was supposed to take 48 hours to get the results. Still no results. The new closing date is tentative for tomorrow, but cannot happen without good results. I have everything set up to move on Saturday, which I pray to God still happens, otherwise it won't be until after the 1st. There have been issues the whole way and now some of my movers are bailing on me. Two days ago, I came down with this awful cold and stomach virus, so I am not getting much of anything done. I am just wondering why there is always something going wrong at every step. Why can't just one thing go smoothly?

Lisa,

I can hear your frustration and I feel the same way most of the time. Life never goes as planned.

Hopefully it will all work out. The reason this may be happening is that you do NOT want to live in a house with high levels of lead in the water. Can you imagine what that could do to your health.

Everything for a reason and yet we may never know why. Put it in God's hands. It will all work out. Keep your chin up.:wink2::wink2::wink2:

You are absolutely right. Why cannot one thing go right ? I hope that you are moving as we speak and will be in there for xmas. During the holidays, real estate stinks and because you are close to the end of the month, that makes it busy.

I am assuming that your virus is over and hope that you are feeling better.

This is a stressful time to close on a home, get ready for xmas and to pack up and move ! I did it during the holidays and mine closed and we slept on the floor new years eve on a mattress....... but it is very stressful.

I hope that you have a christmas present - your new home, if not, don't worry, it will get straightened out and then you will be in your new home.

Merry Christmas.

Lisa,

I am sure that your luck is about to change, and maybe it isn't your bad luck but someone elses that you just happen to be around. In any case I hope that you are doing better now, and that you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

We are here if you need to vent or just talk.

Lisa,

While there are alot of people that will say that with everything going wrong you should take it as an omen that this house was not meant for you, no matter how much you want it. Then there are those people who say that the harder you work for something just shows that you want it that much more. Me? I say thingss happen for a reason. I try to correct whatever it is that is wrong and do it the best way I know. That way if something continues to be wrong, then I know that I tried everything that I could and that wasn't enough so it was meant to be. My thoughts are that there is a reason I'm not supposed to be doing whatever. While I may be disappointed and depressed, it was meant to be and there is a reason for it. Again, my beliefs only. I know it is extremely frustrating, but have patience, there is a reason for everything, or so I believe AGAIN.......my beliefs.

Just take a deep breathe and remember anything worth having is worth the weight. I hope everything works out for you! Good luck and I will have my fingers crossed.
