Hello. I came down to London and stumbled across London to see Dr Edwards. He was very nice and listened to everything. He did a schimmers test and my eyes were dry so that's another symptom on my ever growing list. He said my symptoms fit lupus but because my bloods are negative he could nt be completely sure. So more bloods were taken (i'm trying not to think of the cost) and I'm back to see him in a couple of weeks. He said he'll treat me for lupus whatever the blood results to try and control symptoms. He said he'll contact GP to prescribe something can't remember name. I'm so glad something is going to be done as I'm beginning to feel lousy again. I do n't think my body appreciated tackling the underground. He said my symptoms are real and not in my head. Which is a relief!
Thank you for all your encouragement which gave me the push to go and see someone. Even knowing I'm getting help soon helps.
Hope you all OK.

That's truly great news and I'm sure well worth the difficulty getting there and the cost (I know, it can make you wince).

So glad that you seem to be on track to getting treatment :)

Dr Edwards

Hi...i too see Dr Edwards !
He is a good doctor and seems to genuinely care...unlike so many others !!
After many months of my symptoms he did many tests and i was eventually diagnosed with Lupus a few years ago.
I actually see him at The Southampton Lupus Clinic.
Where are you based...is London closer for you ?
I hope you improve with the medication and start to feel better soon.
Love Ali xx:thumbs:
