As this is the season of great cheer, I thought I would share this with you all so that you can laugh at me.

My husband is not all that keen on veg, he will eat carrots, broccoli and a few others, were as I will eat most things, cooked or raw, makes no difference to me.

Anyway as my husband hate sprouts the only time I get to eat then is if we go round to his parent (father in law loves them too!) or at the family christmas meal. So my husband kindly bought some for me last week and he cooked them for me on Friday. I was so looking forward to having them, well what did I do in my eagerness but burn my mouth!!! I still have a blister on the roof of my mouth (ouch:mad:)

So my warning to you all, is beware the sprouts they bite back!!:rotfl:

The Revenge of the Sprouts eh !

:rotfl:
I will watch out in case they start attacking me although I don't see why they should, as I love them dearly and cook them to perfection with tender loving care , and even give them chestnuts for good company and French conversation practice.
Talking about delicious veg, I cooked 3 turnips/Swedes/rutabaga yesterday. Mashed with plenty of butter and black pepper, yummy. Freezes well and you could always add mashed carrot and parsnip.

I am also a lover of the sprouts and would happily eat a plate of them. However they do attack me and those around me in a different way from you lol!

Many people on here know that I am a windy pops in general.

I do think it's a man thing to hate them though.

Thanks Joan and Pam

Joan the ulcer is a little tender still but treating it with antiseptic / anaesthetic stuff (anbasol). Pam I am lucky they don't affect me that way but I think they do others in my family lol!

Clare and I have decided (after taking on chat) that Mondays is now officially Sprout appreciation day!:rotfl:
