Hi Mary,

With most results there is a normal range next to your result on the lab form. That's one way to see where your figures fall.

I'm only guessing about your ANA but if it says positive then later says under 1:80 then it seems thats the lowest measurement your lab does. Some labs will report on a 1:40.

I know you are diagnosed and I think you are taking meds? That is a good sign if your ANA has gone lower than before (you would have to compare old test results). It could be that your med regime is working well. But whilst ANA is a good for diagnosis it really doesnt reflect disease activity. How you feel is more important at least as far as most Lupus specialists go.

The star just indicates your result with DsDNA (a lupus specific antibody that not everyone has).

The CYCLIC CITRULLINATED PEPTIDE AB IGG is specific for Rheumatoid Arthritis, I have no idea what the normal range is though, it should be on your form.

RIBONUCLEOPROTEIN AB=pending, SMITH AB=pending
- you can read about these antibodies and all the other tests, in the links provided at the top of this forum. There is a stickied post there with links to various sites.
