For the past 10 days, I have had swollen bursa in my hips...much like a normal RA type flare. It usually goes away in a few days, but now, my sciatic nerve in my right hip is acting up with pain to my hamstring and knee areas. It stopped for a day and came back worse than before. It started after my pt stretched my hamstring a bit too much, not real painfully anyway, about 10 days ago. Now my left hip is starting up with the bursa tender and the hip is swollen with twinges in the sciatic area. Does lupus cause this sort of thing or just the RA or both? Think I will call teh Rheum. this week.

Hey Mary,

I get Bursitis in my shoulders and hips really bad and I only have SLE not RA. So it is a lupus thing too xxxxxx
