Hi Friends,

I am wondering, if any of you other ladies, have stopped menstruation, since taking prednisone, on a daily basis?

I am 51 years of age, now..so of course, it could be menopause for me. The timing was somewhat ironic though. I haven't had a monthly for 2mos, now..very unlike me.

When I was taking imuran, my monthly stopped, also. Is this typical with these type of meds?

Thank you again..I am hoping that someone, else will have experienced this..It isn't like I miss, it afterall...:lol::lol:

Love yas,

Hi Sandy,
I didn't have my periods stop with prednisone, but they were somewhat irregular. What I did have happen tho was when I went on the methotrexate, it put me into premature menopause at 38. I had some problems with stress fractures then, and my gyn put me on hormone replacement to prevent more. Three fractures in 3 months were a good reason. Fortunately, that did stop them. I have just in the last month gone off the hormones and having a bit more symptoms as a result. Hopefully I can continue without them.
