because of my dystonia and awaiting a consultation with the other Neuro who will give me the botox injections to stop the muscles spasming. I even resorted to posting on a neuro specialty board and asking a doctor............funnily enough no-one replied about my concerns :hehe: probably because they had never had experience with it.Surprisingly, literature about drugs available to doctors lists an interaction between Botox and hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil). The report of the interaction apparently comes from an experiment published in 1982, in which a diaphragm muscle was removed from a rat and placed in a flask, and made to contract over the course of an experiment that lasted between 30 and 120 minutes.(13) The diaphragm was less paralyzed if a very high amount of hydroxychloroquine was also in the flask.
