I have to say I am slightly worried about this.Went to the doc because of abnormal bleeding and after having an awful examination(I'm sure she was after my tonsils, but went in the wrong end by mistake:rolleyes:)she said I had a lot of inflammation around the cervix.Off for a smear tomorrow,oh,joy!how we all love those.....anyway,would I be right in thinking that this can happen in Lupus patients quite often?you can reassure me all you like ladies,
thanks,
Julsie

I just had a repeat pap after my first pap came back "midly abnormal". Doctor said there was inflammation. Repeat pap had same results. Now I have to go back for another one in another six months. I was wondering the same thing today. I also have pleural thickening (which can apparently be a result of lupus) and am wondering if the lupus is also causing inflammation of my uterus. This leads me to wonder what the heck else is inflamed that I don't know about.

My paps have come back with inflammation for years...I never knew it, the reports that I requested later showed it, but the docs never mentioned it, so I guess it wasn't a big thing. I just figure that I have inflammation practically every where, so why not there too, right? Let us know how you get on and what the doc says. Good luck!
