Hi Friends,

I am wondering if it is safe to swim, in public chlorinated pools, while taking Cell Cept? I really, would like to take an Arthritis exercise Class, but wonder, what the risk of fungal infection is or another infection is from the pool?

Have any of you risked it? I suppose, I should call my Dr. and see what his opinion is regarding the issue, and then decide.

I am still headache free! :wink2: I want to celebrate!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Love,
Sandy

I haven't done it often because I keep not having the energy, but I've gone in a local gym's pool (heated for arthritis users) about 6 times since January. So far no problems but they do encourage everyone to wear shoes until you get in the pool and I've seen some people wear those netted ones with rubble soles right into the pool. I just use thongs or those bright colored cheap neoprene shoes you see everywhere.

I wouldn't imagine there would be any problems in a chloronated pool. Half the class will be on methotrexate after all, so they will be all in the same boat so to speak.

I have never had any problems with swimming pools, and I love to swim.
