I'm currently on antibiotics for bronchitis so I had to stop the MTX this week. However, I woke up today with a horrible head cold and now at the end of the day I feel like I have the flu as everything hurts...even my hair. Does it make sense that colds would be worse? I've been on MTX for about 9-10 weeks at 12.5mg.

Sorry you are feeling so rotten.
I am a newbie on methotrexate too. I had to stop it for a bad chest infection once.

Remember methotrexate is an immunosuppressant. So our bodies will have a tougher time dealing with a cold.

Lupus loves to throw something extra at us when we are sick.

I hope you get to feeling better soon.
