has anybody ever had a ctscan and the results were nodules in the lungs

should i worry about this. i think they called it pleural effusion.

i just had a 2nd one after 2 years and am awaiting my results. thanks.

my gp and pulmonalogist told me that lots of people have them and their benign.

I haven't had this problem myself but I do know that there are different sorts of pleural effusion and various causes of it, including lupus disease activity. It can be quite complicated
Obviously the doctors have to carefully consider all aspects and do other tests if they are worried. Treatment depends on the cause
Somebody else's experience of a very similar thing might not be at all helpful to you or relevant to your case. So I think you have to trust your doctors on this one
I am sorry you have so much to worry about.

If you have questions about what they found and are telling you should talk with the doctor and ask them to explain what that means and what it is, what they do about it, and so. If they go to talking to you and you still don't understand what they are saying let them know you have no medical background and if they could explain it a little better please. My doctors don't have a problem doing this with me. I wish you the best of luck with your tests

I have them and was told that they can be a result of many different things - pneumonia, etc. They are going to rescan me at a later date to check on them, but I was told that they were nothing of any concern. They rescan just to be safe and to be sure that there is no change. If you have questions, ask your doc. They get paid big bucks to explain just those types of things.

i do ask my doctors questions, but i just wanted to know if anybody here ever got them and what was done about it. just wanted to know your experience. thanks, lydia.
