i have had lupus for over 10 years, had every s/s tha you can think of and then some. had a stroke in april and have not worked since. i am a nurse so i know alot of what is coming . i dont talk to my family much, they just get upset. so thought i might find some friends here:wink2:

Many of us don't talk to friends or family about our medical problems, and that's why it's great :blush:to talk online with others in similar circumstances.
I too have had strokes with a lifetime of symptoms,
and am just getting specialists to take notice-off for 3 more appointments next month.
To see posts of others who have a problem too, helps us to access the lupus/aps/etc informationthis site offers. We like to have a bit of fun too, :hehe:like some good fun recipes, hobbies- gardening, reading etc. There is the facility for private posts and email addresses if we like.
I am on the northeast coast of Australia, so my times of posting are often different, In our city we don't have specilaits,so I fly away.
:lol:nan, and despite symptoms, I try to lead a happy life.

You can definitely make some friends here! That's exactly what this forum is for and I'm glad you found us and hope we can be of some help.

I also have some nursing experience myself. I have had SLE for little over 22 years. I have seizures and stroke. I have had 2 just this week. ! time this week...I was out for at least 3 hours. Im growing tired,feeling old. Im almost 38 now. I just need to put my trust in GOD. but Im little scared to do that right now,because Im scared i wont get no better with FAITH!!!!

OOH Lola, Im so so sorry to hear that 1 of your kids got this disease also. Im also a long term patient and i too have 2 girls. 1 has already been tested. not the other yet. Im so sorry wish i could take youre CHILDS place and have SLE all over AGAIN!!!!!!!!
