I Was Diagnosed With Dle 12 Years Ago And Have Tried Most Medications, Now I Am Supposed To Start On Raptiva This Coming Monday. I Would Life To Know If Any One Has Ever Tried It And What They Experienced Using The Drug:

for welcome and info. Just had second dose of raptiva ,was ill for 5 days following first, hope side effects are not as severe this time. On plus side my skin seems to be responding already, SUE

Hello Sue

I'm sorry you were so unwell and hope this second round will be easier. It is great that you already see some improvement. I have read that it shows within the first couple of weeks. Thanks for letting us know - this info will certainly help others as it is a very new treatment for discoid although already used successfully in psoriasis. Could you ask your doctor if it would help the unfortunate people who have both skin lupus and psoriasis- they have to be careful with Plaquenil because it can make psoriasis worse.
