Hey, everyone! On my recent visit to my rheumatologist I had my exam, my symptoms include; nausea, lack of appetite, abdominal pain, generalized itching, diarrhea, elevated enzymes, fatigue. She ordered the following tests--CCP, CPK, Aldolase, AMA, PCB, dsDNA, HLAB27--the only one I couldn't figure out was the ENAab--not sure what exactly that one is. I have had varied enzyme results at different times, but apparently this time they are very high. Does anyone else have liver involvement? If so what were your symptoms? Thanks for your help. Hope you all are hanging in there. Karly

I did have problems with my liver (very enlarged etc) but unfortunately at the time i was very very ill and remember little about it, except the incredible pain as my liver was very swollen. I was having a severe flare involving liver spleen etc and thankfully I don't remember much. I have never had liver problems since, apart from the usual enzyme levels going wonky due to medication. I was in hospital for quite some time with that flare, and it was many many years ago so sorry, I'm not really any use here except to say that yep I have had it and lived to tell the tale

best of luck with your symptoms

The last time, I had elevated ALT, AST levels, elevated blood levels of billirubin, and a lot of billirubin in my urine. I had constant abdominal pain that would get worse if I had to sit upright for very long. I had the itching and I looked as though I had a sun tan, even though I didn't have a tan. The first time I had all of the above, plus vomitting and diareah, and strangely enough, a loud constant ringing sound in my ears. I'm not sure if the ears ringing was due to the liver problem, or a result of the severe dehydration from the vomitting and diareah though. I hope the Drs. are able to sort things out for you soon, and get things under control:)

No liver problems here... but I'm guessing the ENAab is testing the extractable nuclear antigens/antibodies (SSA, SSB, Smith, etc.)

Be sure to discuss your medications with your doctor and if any of them could be causing the liver test abnormalities. That can often be the case...
Good luck!
