does anyone else ever get there head nodding, sometimes my head just does it, not just nodding but twitching and i have no control over this when it happens, i dont know if its is when i have or am going to have a
seizure, but i know im doing it.

what else can we get with this blooming thing, ive had a weird do this afternoon where my toung went like i'd been to the dentist, and my cheecks the same then everything went odd from inside head,i did go bang back on the settee, so that was another different feeling, weather it was another seizure or not,i dont know.

i have just had gabapentin upped from 300mg to 400 mg three times a day
as i did have a seizure last tuesday, similar to todays,
anyone else get these feelings????

Hi Lin,

I'm sorry I don't have anything like what you are describing. I reckon you might be one the right track thinking it is related to siezure activity. Have you told your neurologist? It would be worth mentioning at your next appointment.

Gosh Im sorry to hear this is happening for you :worried: I dont have these kind of symptoms so I cant help with that. It sure does sound like some kind of seizure activity. I hope you are noting all these things down and also getting a family member to keep an eye on things that you might not notice yourself?

It could be something else besides lupus, have you talked with your general doctor? I have found that lupus was only the beginning at least for me. Good luck

If it continues, then you should tell your doctor about it. With my seizures, I always get some level of alteration in conciousness (and I don't necessarily mean unconsciousness) with each seizure, so if it was happening to me I would doubt that it was seizure activity. So if you are otherwise unaffected, then I would tend to look beyond seizure activity for an explanation.

People develop tics for all sorts of reasons, so I think the best thing to do is to ask a doctor about it.

thanks for all your suport again, much aprecated, will have to mention this next friday, dr as said i have cns lupus, but with having seziures i dont know where i am any more, these odd things keep happening up stairs (meaning in head lol!!!!)

Sometimes i think im cracking up when my head starts, the joys of it all hey? maybe its the meds them selfs?

I've not had the head nodding, but sort of tics in my thumb and hand, then all over, I never know when it is going to happen, my hand is the thing that tics the most though. I haven't ever had a seizure though, but do have a neurologist who I will see soon, I would suggest talking to yours and or your GP. Ever since my diagnosis it seems like a waterfall of different things have happened to me, it's terribly trying. I will be thinking of you. Karly
