After getting in contact with some lovely people at the Devon Lupus Organisation and having a very lengthy chat regarding my medical history it was suggested that I was owed a diagnosis and that I should get my GP to refer me to St Thomas' in London. I'm very lucky that I have access to private healthcare through my husband's job and after speaking to them this morning discovered I am covered to see a Dr Khamashta. All I need now is my GPs agreement. I was just wondering whether anyone has seen this gentleman and whether he is happy to listen/is understanding. Just asking the question as I've seen many pompous ***** in the past so am a bit worried!

Hello Aggie,

I haven't seen him personally but know someone who has and who holds him in high esteem.

Good luck at your appointment,

Katharine

Hey Aggie,

I've seen Dr. Khamasta in the London Lupus Centre. He listens to patients, is polite, understanding and is one of the finest lupus and aps experts out there! Not a pompous bone on him...!

Best of luck at your appointment with him! :)
