Hi all,
The Dr would not give my hubbie a copy of the results, but did tell him that the test's came back again high positve, showing that it could be Sjogrens or SLE. He did not say what the titre was.
3 times it has come back saying that & yet they still won't anything to confirm which one it is, or both.
I'm getting back to the Rhuemie on monday, to get all of the results not just the ENA, ANA which was the only ones she sent to my Dr.
This is so maddening.
I don't know what to do next, as i don't feel comfortable with my family DR anymore.

Hi there,

Its good that you are getting your results from your specialist!

As to your GP, in UK a family DR/GP will not give results to anyone other than their patient even if family doctor (patient confidentiality). Also DR/GP's in UK dont diagnose illnesses like SLE or even Sjogerns that is left for the Specialist!

Is it your Rhuemi that won't diagnose SLE?

I think once you see your results and perhaps then ask for explantions of anything you think is not the normal result then you can move forward!

Let us know how you go on Monday!

Good luck with your Rheumy.

Here in Australia it would be me that would have to pick up results, they wouldn't even give it to a family member, it's a matter of patient confidentiality.

After being told a month ago by my Rhuemie that she does not send the results, i don't hold out much hope again on monday. If that happens i will be getting in touch with my local health authotity & see what they say.
She did say i could pick them up from her office, i live 3 hrs away & have a phobia about being in a car for long journeys, plus it would be a day long trip.

Hello!

Can you ask the rheumy's staff to have the copies ready for you to take with you following your appointment on Monday? That would seem a reasonable solution, since you live 3 hours away.

Good luck!

Crossed wires somewhere along the line,
I don't have an appt monday, i'm only phoning the Rhuemie again to see if they will send them to me, again. & that, seeing i live 3 hrs away & i don't like the traveling.
Sorry for any confusion caused.

Could you just call the medical records department? Then you wouldn't have to go threw your rhumey or his nurse. That is how we get records from my GP. Just fill out a form and state what you want. You could even have them send them to you too.

Just another idea to throw out there.

Love,
Lyn
