Good find Clare,

I especially like they way they show how to get a ballance between rest and exercise and suggest ways to recognise and safely stretch our boundaries.

Great article... I really enjoyed it. I do the ROM exercises and the endurance but not the strength training. Might motivate me to give the strength training exercises a try again (they seem to induce a flare more than any other type of exercise for me).

Looks like an excellent article - I will go and conserve some energy and read the rest tomorrow :)

Ha ha Katherine,
Thats very interesting Clare.
Ive been worrying because of being given this gym programme by my Rheumy.
I must admit the last few weeks Ive just not been. Im aching and my joints are a bit swollen here and there and the fatigue is getting to me. The last thing I feel like is pulling those machines about.
Im feeling very guilty because I know it is meant to make me better.
I am struggling just to keep my business going at the moment and the added pressure of having to go to the gym Im afraid does not fill me with joy. Im hoping this fatigue feeling will pass soon and I can go to the gym with new vigour before my 12 weeks run out.
Great article though its what i have been thinking about lately.
Thanks Clare

Thanks for that Clare. That's exactly what I needed to read today :)

As some of you know, I was a very active guy until this disease kicked in... and even then I tried to remain as active as possible.

But recently, since the symptoms have got worse, I've completely eradicated all activities :(

But I am slowly going to get back into as much as my body allows me to :)

Swimming, minor weight lifting (no, not sugar bags :p ), jogging... and hopefully soon FOOTBALL :D
