Hi Jen,

Here in Idaho, we have some lovely places..Sawtooth Mountains are just beautiful. Idaho, in general is beautiful! I guess, most people feel that way about the state or country they reside in, though..

C.A. Redwoods are beautiful, and are next to the ocean.. very beautiful.

Yosemite National Park in C.A. is beautiful.

French Polynesia is gorgeous..

I have always wanted to see Yellowstone. I was too ill last fall, but hope to see it one day.

Where ever you decide to go..I hope you have a wonderful time Jen! :)

Friend,
Sandy

I LOVED Yellowstone, but would suggest on making reservations way in advance for an in park lodge or else you will find yourself forever riding in a car on a road hoping for some animals to wander by. We did seee about everything, but bears, the natural wonders are specatacular, but we drove from place to place, and took one bus ride.

I absolutely loved Santa Fe, New Mexico, bad for us with lupus, but if you go in cooler months and wear all the protective stuff you can enjoy the adobe buildings, the cool museums, the oldest house and oldest church in the US. Also the Governor's Palace wear you can buy handmade items from local Native tribes. The scenery is also gorgeous.

I liked Key, West a lot, a different atmosphere, a unique view of the way the water is and lots of interesting things to do in all the keys.

The other places I liked, the Grand Tetons, the Badlands, Pike's peak, The Smoky mountains but only off season and if you can get about in the woods etc.

Of course I must mention Alaska, I have not been there but my cousin lives there while her husband is in the military stationed there and she adores it, my aunt and uncle went and they had wonderful things to say about the scenery, people, Denali National park is supposed to be so beuatiful, they have trains too that take you through the scenery...

Now I'm getting itchy feet and ready to travel....

The Grand Canyon is something to behold too ;) I hope to ride down it again someday with my daughter. I may not be able to walk again for a week, but some things are just worth it! *laughs*

Heh Jen.....................I have been trying to figure out where we could go this year for vacation. We don't have alot of money this year, so I am really looking for something with alot of flare. You know, more bang for your buck.

I loved the Smokies, of course I love Tenneesse. Have been there before, but it was when the kids were little. It seems like I was busy chasing after the children to much to totally take in the beauty that the Smokies showed. What I DO remember was the beauty of the lush trees, the tranquilty of it all was, zen. If you get a chance......................go.

It doesn't look like i will be going on a vacation like I hoped for months , my boss has decided to do a program this summer that she said all year that we wouldn't do and of course I will have to be there. I am very disappointed but hopefully I can plan something in the fall. I also will have more time to look into vacation spots and plan I guess is the bright side.
