Well where do i start?I been feeling very overwhelmed lately with so much stress in my life like many other:(.Hubby was layed off like 6 weeks ago from a car place that he is only temporary anyway. They are going back to work on monday but no idea for how long at all. Then he has had no health insurance for like since march of 08.My son is in college and has none either. We cant afford to get it on our own no doubt or we would .Okay no biggie really i know or not the thing that has me really upset tonight about anyway.
I got a phone call from my pharmacy after i had called in three of my meds to be renewed to telling me i need to register my prescription card that i have through medicare which is called medicare part d and it is AARP is whom i have it through.Okay no biggie will do give them my new card right well of course not that easy because all of sudden i dont remember getting one this year but of course my brain has not been with it for quite sometime now grrrr.Long story short because this process was not short and sweet.I called my AARP represenative to them telling me that i never had a presriction drug plan with them since 2006 grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. It is hard for me to explain but i was supposed to pick up three meds today that i have to have by tomorrowand looks like i will not be getting them or have to pay for them myself which is not going to happen with hubby layed off and me not working at all.The only thing they could tell me was that someone would call me tomorrow and i can fill out a complaint.i am like wow you are kidding me right and of course that would be a no i am not kidding they said.I am not sure of where to start really of what to do or whom to call so hoping when i talk to them tomorrow they will tell me what i can do about my huge mess i am in because the goverment can make mistakes and we have to pay for them :sad:.I will let you know how it all comes out, but just had to vent some.Im sorry if anyone is as confused as i am now  but my brain is not working well at all these days. Thanks for letting me do some venting here as i dont know what i would do except scream for sure :lol:which would not help much i guess.I am sure everything will work out for the best :)

Thanks Tammy

Tammy,
There are a couple things you can try 1) go online and see if you can print a card yourself. If you have been covered which you had to of been or would not of been getting meds all this time. 2) If that is a no go try the doctors office and see if they have samples to get you through till you can get it all straightened out. 3) Try local charities like vna, churches, ect. They often have one time funds to help out with things like this. I know have had to work with the system for the past 13 months and it is finally hitting pay dirty. I hope it don't take you that long.
Oh, I almost for got #4 RELAX as often as you can it will do no one any good if you start a flare now. Wish you luck with getting things back into motion again.

Hi Tammy,

Sorry to hear you have one more problem to add to your list. It actually sounds like someone has made a mistake. You have been getting drugs all along with no hassle. How could that be if you haven't had part D coverage since 2006? I would gather any paperwork you have together as proof and fax it off to them. Keep calling back for an update on your situation. Remember the squeaky wheel gets oiled.

Tammy's idea of contacting your doctor for possible samples is a good one. You can also contact the drug manufactures directly for assistance. A few sites to check out are:

Thank you everyone for your support.I am sure somehow some way it will all work out i just have to keep the faith which is very hard to do these days for all ofus.I am only out of my one of my anti depressants and my migraine med and my muscle relaxer but going to figure out a way today to get the muscleralxer and the anti depressant for now and hopefully soon get the migraine medicine also. Then later this week i have some of my blood preasure meds to get and hoping by then the state decided something about my drug coverage.None of this makes any sense is what gets me really.I had the same coverage form the same company for over two years i think.I do have the paperwork from everything is the good news.
My hubby went ahead and signed me up for another drug coverage which was very nice but he applyed for the same one :lol:the aarp. Can you believe that one:hehe:.I most certaintly be upset with him for trying to help right:wink2:.I will let everyone know how things come out and when aarp calls me about everything.Until then i will hang in there like i always do but not upside down:rotfl:.Sorry it is to ealry for my brain to try to be funny or it is always to early for that lol.Take care all and sure hope everyone has a good day or night depending on where everyone lives.(((hugs)))

Things are good in the meds department

Hi Everyone

I wanted to update you my situation with the aarp presription plan i had.The key word had lol.No actually i got the best phone call late yesterday from AARP my presription program through medicare to say that i been reinstated to the Program effectively immediatley yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh:bigsmile:.I was really extremelyt happy to hear that even though i dont have the help if the state to pay for some of my deductable but oh well feeling very blessed to have it at all for sure.I woke up in the night with such a migraine so was very glad to know i will be able to get up go get it as soon as possible.

What the extra help does is to make my amount i pay on my meds to be a lot cheaper for me.Well anway i just wanted to let everyone know that things in that situation are all good:).Thank you so much for your caring words and support and sure hope everyones day is going as good as it can anyway when you have lupus:wink2:.Take care and great big (((((hugs)))))).to everyone.
