Hi everyone,
It sure has been such a long time since I have been here. I have been in soooo much pain and working and yadda yadda yadda you get what I mean.
How are you all?? I have been reading just not posted. Anyway I wanted to share with you that my Dr finally talked me into using the Fentanyl pain patch. Well he gave me too much 100micrograms and I ended up in hospital being really sick. My Dr felt so bad he works there (hospital) and he though given the meds I already take for the pain that my body would cope with that. Well my body had better ideas.
I visited him again last Wednesday and he talked me into and reassured me to use the lowest strength patch. I am sure glad I listend to him as I have been pain free and I now use the 25microgram patch. I have to let you know that I have more energy, I have been going for walks and feel I have my quality of life back, for the first time in eight years.
I wanted to share although I know it may not work for everybody if it is offered by your DR then consider
My joints are still swollen the only side effect I have is a headache on waking in the morning other than that I HAVE MY LIFE BACK!!!!!!!!
I sure hope this lasts:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
LOVE to All
Kerry

Hi Kerry :)

I'm so glad to hear that you have found something to help relieve that pain and I do really understand what you mean about feeling you have your life back.

Things finally seem (touch wood) to be coming together for me treatment wise too and I do so know what you mean.

Long may the pain free days and stability last!!!

Hi Kerry,

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate hospital adventure and your initial experience with the fentanyl patch but it's absolutely wonderful that you tried it again and that you are no longer in pain....!!!!! Yipeeeeee!!!! :excited: :cheer2: :bigsmile:

Fingers crossed everything goes very very smoothly (and pain-free!) for you from now and for a long, long time!!!! :fingers: :thumbs:

Thanks Zoi,
I really need to thank my husband as he did not give up and kept encouraging me to use them again so without him I would not have tried them so quickly.
Thanks again
Kerry
