I am hoping some people will know the answer. Is the fevers caused by low white count? In my other posts I have wrote things so you might be able to help me know more. Ever since 1998 when I became sick with Chronic Fatigue Immune Syndrome, I had fevers alot. They would come and go. My CFS specialist said that the fevers would come and go different times.

So I haven't had fevers in about 6 months and now the past 4 days I continue to get them.

Does anyone know what this would be from. Today it was 101.1. It doesn't stay for long.

Hi CindyLou,

I know that running low grade fevers is very common for people with SLE. It may be common in other conditions too I am not sure. Has your GP ever considered sending you to an Immunologist, given your symptoms and blood results that may yield more answers for you.

in my experience fevers and wbc's are two separate things. My wbc is always low, and I don't get lupus related fevers.

So, to my way of thinking that probably means they aren't linked, otherwise I would have a permanent fever.

Lupus symptoms tend to cluster, so if someone is flaring then they will flare systemically eg fevers, low wbc, kidney problems, swollen joints etc all at the same time. This is because inflammation is active in the body so it attacks multiple systems at the same time, as lupus is a systemic disease.

feel better soon

HI CindyLou,

I have low wbc most of time just like Raglet! I only get fevers when flaring or flaring/virus/bacterial infection but WBC is still low or lower then!

Hope that info helps!

Hi there, I also only get fevers when I am in a flare or when I have caught a flu bug or something like that. I never have a constant fever that won't go away, that would be awful. Hope that this helps some, and now I hope that you are feeling better.
