Got some of my blood results back today and my doctor wants to see me tomorrow to discuss.
One of the liver function tests was abnormally low, and EcR (?) one of the inflammation markers is very elevated.
Still got numerous aches and pains (neck and pain are extremely painful at the moment), dry skin and rashes all over, including the 'butterfly' type facial rash and the top of my legs are covered in what can only be described as hundreds of red pin pricks. On top of this feel incredibly tired, dizzy and sick - oh and my glands are still enlarged and sore.
It's been so hard trying to get taken seriously. Been to see a thyroid specialist as my thryoid was extremely under (i.e. not working at all) and had thyroxin increased over the past few months which now, thankfully the thyroid is normal, but I'm still feeling awful (with the symptoms above).
So, what should I do now. Should I ask to be referred to a lupus specialist? Is there such a doctor as a lupus specialist?
Can anyone offer any advice?
Thanks
Clara
