my blood pressure was up again when i went to see the gp yesterday 150 over 90. she ran a whole bunch of tests thyroid, sugar, and others i cant remember but they all came back fine.

now she wants me to do the 24 hour urine test. and am going to do that this weekend. today i went to pick up the urine container i asked the nurse to check my bp and it was 130 over 80. so at least it went down a bit. she also gave me water pills and i started them today.

my husband recently got insurance, he came home today to tell me that he might get laid off. so there goes the insurance. when it rains it pours

i dont know what other tests they should run to see what causing my bp to go up. i am overweight and havent been acitve or watching what i eat but now thats all going to change.

I am glad to see the doctor is following up on your symptoms. Good luck with the 24 hour urine test this weekend. Hope everything turns out alright.

Hopefully your husband doesn't get laid off. You should check on how long the insurance continues in the event he does. Some companies terminate it at the end of the month and others give additional time. You will be eligible for Cobra also.

i went back to my gp today for my 24 hr urine test results. she said that it came back slightly elevated. she asked me if i refrigerated it. and i said no, ooops:lol::lol:.

im starting a new test tomorrow morning. do you think it really makes a diffrence to refrigerate it. my shortness of breath is still there she gave me a pulmonary function test and it came back weak.

shes sending me to get a more accurate test i forgot the name of it. i think it was a pft test sorry i could be wrong.

im a bit worried about this whole thing. she also said that if all my tests come back fine shes going to put my shortness of breath down to anxiety. i dont know but i dont like that idea. what do you think about this whole thing.

i didnt know you had to put 24hr urine test in the fridge :hehe:i don't , no one ever told me too.

Hope things are ok for you, my bp is usully up, try not worry at least they doing test for you hun.

Hi Sushi,

Most of the reputable sites say that it's wise to refrigerate it. I had to if it was a warm or hot day otherwise I was just instructed to keep it in a cool place and take it in asap after that last void.

Try not to worry and take one day at a time, hard I know but worrying never got anyone anywhere and really can have an impact on our health.

Good luck with everything and keep us updated.
