Definitely go back to GP. I get so frustrated with the way specialists in the NHS quite happily discharge you without actually checking with you if things have changed or not. I've just been discharged from another specialist after a "normal" test, and in the meantime things have changed so much my GP is going to have to refer me straight back. Inefficiency or what?????

Hello Jo, Yes do let your GP see how you are, scream and cry with him if necessary.
Also rest and get strength for the ongoing battle!
Wishing you Luck,
x Lola

I think the most important thing here is to get your pain level under control. Go and see your gp despite the blood work results, etc. Remember that sometimes it can take years for things to show up if Lupus. If it is not Lupus, then you certaintly still need to know what is going on.

Call your gp to get some time of fast pain relief and get that under control and then find out what the next step is for you.

I hope you feel better, but you do sound in a lot of pain, and when we are in that much pain everything seems dreadful.

Sending get well wishes your way.

Frustrated

Thanks, have been to see my dr this am as i am having a major flare up, he has changed my anti inflammatory to 250mg naproxen 2 x twice daily. He said the way my hands are swollen he still thinks it's sle and/or rhumetoid athritis. He said even though the test may seem 'normal' there may be something in them that can give us a clue!!

I know it can be so frustrating trying to get a diagnosis. Hang in there! The first rhemy I saw sent me back to my gp, but now I'm seeing another rheumy who is really listening to me and we're making progress. Don't give up!

See my earlier posting. I saw rheumatologist in Januay and have been told no results until I visit him next week. Agree its very frustrating.
