Just wondering if anyone has had trouble with sores around their teeth on the gum? I have a couple on the bottom gum in front and the upper gum on the side. The one on top has been there for awhile, but now it appears the swelling is going to the back as well. They are in places that one would normally not have a cavity. I also have terrible taste in my mouth each morning. I have tried peroxide diluted, of course, as a rinse, warm salt water and just dabbing peroxide on the area with q-tip then rinsing well. I think is is probably my lupus flare because I also just got over a fever blister. Maybe it is connected. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Tricia,

Many of us lupies, get sores on our gums when flaring. I also, get cold sores around my mouth when I flare.

Your remedies, sound reasonable. If you need additional healing help for them,
Maybe, you could ask your dentist to prescribe a steriod paste, for your gum sores.

I use it, and it helps my sores heal faster.

I hope they heal fast for you. I know, both are painful.

Best Wishes,
Sandy
