Hello Reisha and welcome back !

How are you getting on these days?

:)
Clare
Hello Reisha, Don't think we have met. Sounds as if you may have been having a hard time.

Welcome back Reisha :)

I think I do vaguely remember your name - then again, I may be imagining it, hard to say :wink2:

I hope you're doing OK now and that you'll be able to stay around for a while.

Hey Clare, Lola, Kathrine, I'm doing well, just had my son in August, was not feeling well, and I've been trying to adjust. I'm still on prednisone, started plaquenil and naproxen since I'm no longer breastfeeding. Started taking naproxen two days ago, and wow!:) haven't felt that pain free in a loooong time. I was having lots of chest pain compounded with the constant backache, it was horrible, so I'm feeling a lot better now. But I'm scared to start plaquenil :worried:
Congratulations ! Well done :)

I hope you'll be feeling better soon. Small babies however adorable are so tiring and I hope you are able to take every opportunity to rest.

What's all this about being scared to take the Plaquenil ? With a bit of luck it will help you so much in many ways some less obvious than others and will probably help you to reduce the Prednisone eventually which you do not want to be taking longer than strictly necessary.
Start the Plaquenil at a lower dose than that prescribed so you risk less initial tummy upset which is the most common side effect. Then after a couple of weeks start on the full dose. Always take with food.

Take good care of yourself !
Bye for now
Clare
Hi Reisha,

Nice to meet you. I am just south of you over the bridge and across the pond.

Congrats on the new baby and on getting the pain under control.

I hope you stick around and do hope to get to know you better.:wink2:
Welcome back Reisha, and congrats on the baby. I'm sure the baby is giving you lots of smiles by now and really making all that work feel absolutely worth it!

I agree that I wouldn't be worried about the Plaquenil at all. I was also taken off it by by old rheumy for breastfeeding and wish I hadn't been taken off it at all since so little gets through to the milk anyways. I flared up quite badly in the 1.5 years I was off it and it took me a long time to get back to my normal lupus state.

Welcome back again and thanks for the update! :)
