I wanted to share with others that visit this site that there is help for people with no insurance. I have been fighting for a state medical card(still doing the appeal), in the mean time I have found other ways to get my treatment. Local Health Departments, Hospitals (they often have charity programs), the $4 prescriptions, medication providers, and public services (like churches, VNA programs, and general assistance programs). You have to check and see if any or all of these are in your state but help is out there.
I finally got the exceptance letter from the hospital that they will cover my doctor visits, lab work, x-rays, er visits, any hospital stays, eye doctor, cpap machine( a new one), and all the supplies. They will do this for 1 year and give me the time to fight the state she said. For those of you that I have not met I have been without treatment for a year. I am starting to feel better and even resting a little better. Thanks to all that have chatted with me and for your interest in my story. Thanks also for all the prayers that where said for me, someone must of been listening or it was just so loud that you have no choice :lol::calm:. I have my 3rd appeal date for 11-21-08 for the state card and if you would not mind keeping the prayers coming and the figures cross I sure could use it.
I have even been given special rights because of my lupus that they will let me see my rheumy and pay for the plaq. straight from the manufactorer. This is a blessing for those that don't have lupus and visit the site. I could of never of done any of this without all of your support and advise.
