I live with my partner of 12 years and our 3 kitties. I was diagnosed in 2005 with SLE,DDD, arthritis in my neck, back knee's and ankles, Fibromyalgia, Chronic fatigue, Raynaud's phenomenon. I had to stop working after I got fired because I just couldn't do my work anymore. I was in landscaping maintenance for 8 years, before that I did housecleaning, basically all I've done is physical work so with the help of my Dr's I applied for SS disability. I applied in 11/05, denied, then applied for reconsider, denied, and now after waiting over 2 years I finally have a hearing date on Feb 5th. This has been a long road, but I know it's a road many of us have to take. I'd rather be working where I would have my own business by now and probably would be making 3 or 4 times what I will be getting from SSD, but something is better then nothing.
I miss doing what I used to do, camping, hiking, volleyball so I've had to learn to keep myself occupied with less painful things, like painting, scrap booking, going online, and watching women's basketball; I love the Seattle Storm and during the winter we watch women's college bball.
