my husband went to the er for excesive bleeding on his lip, he thought that

he only needed a stich or two. but that wasnt the case. the doctor told him

that he needs to see a dermitologist because this can be something more serious.

he told him that it could be cancer. i really hate when doctors jump the gun like this. do you know what other things can cause excesive bleeding on the lips besides cancer?

im really worried about him now he is the best thing that ever happen to me:sad::( he is going to give the gp a call in the morning. im so worried i hope its nothing serious.:worried::worried:

oh and by the way he didnt hurt his lip or anything in that nature to make him bleed like this. this happened to him once or twice last year but it went away and thought nothing of it.

((((((Sushi)))))) :hugbetter:

All this must be very worrying for you and your husband at the moment.... :(

Lola is absolutely right; anything to do with the head bleeds a lot generally.

Hope everything goes well with your husband's GP appointment. It's good he's getting it checked out; if nothing else he might find out what's causing his lip to bleed repeatedly so it won't happen again! :)

((( Sushi))) These situations are so agonising. Maybe your GP will be reassuring but I think it possibly will need investigating and it would have only been a matter of time before the cancer possibility was mentioned if there isn't some simple and obvious explanation forthcoming from your GP.

I have had at least two cancer scares in my life and one had to do with skin lupus on the lip. The doctor casually said he wanted me to see a top dermy for a second opinion which meant quite an arduous trek for me, so I moaned about if it really was necessary which is when he told me he was worried it had turned into cancer as sometimes can happen.
I am sure the ER doc had a duty to advise your husband of his concerns and we have to hope he was wrong as those ER docs so often are.

Let us know what happens please
Lots of strengthening hugs
