Hi all, I'm having a really bad day today and thought I'd write down a list of symptoms and stuff I've had in the past and it's even more depressing than I thought... no wonder I feel so rotten all the time, and no one really knows what I'm going through coz I put a brave face on it all. I get totally fed up when people say 'how are you' and not really interested in any answer, when I've been constantly ill and tired for 9 months! and years of tiredness, feeling rough etc... And I'm fed up with people moaning when all they have is a cold - dont they realise that I think it would be wonderful to only have a cold for a few days??? I've progressed from using a walking stick to using a wheelchair! Even round my own garden..or I stay indoors. I'd appreciate your thoughts- do you think I may have Lupus? And what else should I ask the Rheumatologist?

OK, here's the list (and I've probably left something or other off..)

CHRONIC FATIGUE CONSTANTLY
WEAKNESS, TREMBLING
DIAGNOSED WITH ARTHRITIS IN NECK 1986.
CHRONIC FATIGUE FROM 1989 - 1996, AGAIN IN 2000 AND 2003.
HAD PLEURISY TWICE A FEW YEARS AGO
KIDNEY INFECTIONS TWICE (WARNED OF PERMANENT DAMAGE)
3 STOMACH ULCERS A FEW YEARS AGO
RED RASH ON FEET IN SUNLIGHT & WHITE BUBBLES RASH ON HANDS
SOME HAIR LOSS
WEIGHT GAIN: 16KILOS (!!!)
COLD HANDS AND FEET, EARS PAIN IN COOL WEATHER
PAIN TO BACK, LEGS, HIPS
BONE SPURS ON HANDS, BACK
SEVERE DEPRESSION SINCE 1986
MOUTH ULCERS
OCCASIONAL NOSE BLEEDS
BREATHLESSNESS (NOT ASTHMA)
FEVERISH EVERY DAY
HEADACHES
SWOLLEN ANKLES
SWOLLEN FINGERS
MEMORY PROBLEMS
ABDOMINAL PAIN (MILD and SEVERE at different times)

BLOOD TESTS - CAME BACK NEGATIVE for rheumi stuff, 'good' for everything else (???) :worried:
SCANS - TOLD ALL GOOD (whatever that means) :worried:

Now I've put all that down I feel a bit better. Sorry if I've depressed anyone! bye for now x

Hi French maid,
I'm so sorry you feeling so unwell,
I have 13 things the same as you, i'm waiting test results which is the frustrating thing about.
Do you take your lists to See the Rhuemie?
If so, take pics as well to show your rash.
If your Rhuemie is not very helpful, then change him & find one that specialises in Lupus.
It is a must.
There are many people on here that are in the same boat as you, you are not alone in this. We understand your frustration & sadness.
We all know about people who don't understand our illness, or are not willing to either.

I have just had xrays & a bone scan, my chiro told me about the scan results. RA in my lower back & hips, nothing untoward else where. SO where is all the pain coming from.
Keep pushing to find out what is wrong, Lupus is such a complex illness & and it can take years before you can get a diagnosis, please don't give up hope.
Ask any questions there is always someone that can give good advise.
I wish you well, keep us informed on your progress, email me if you like.
Gentle hugs,
Sandra.
