I am not diagnosed with lupus yet but am undergoing testing for it. I have heard that interstitial cystitis is sometimes considered an autoimmune disorder as well so I'm wondering if it's linked. I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis when I was 17 years old (I am now 29 years old).

There's no definite proof that it is an autoimmune disorder, and other causes have also been hypothesized. That said, we've had several members here who have suffered from both conditions. Have you found any dietary triggers that can increase your symptoms? It's one of the few disorders in medicine it seems which acknowledge diet can affect symptoms!
