Hooray.......it's Alwin's compost corner time:lol:
I don't know what's wrong with my compost bin either.........the waste just seems to sit there:sad:

Sandy I love oriental poppies too. I had some perrenial ones.a lovely salmon pink.
Unfortunately everytime they flowered they would soon get flattened by the wind or the rain.
Spring has sprung here in Suffolk. I live on the edge of town by heathland so now the gorse is blooming along with my wallflowers the air smells like honey.
It means we get lots of birds in the garden.
Currently......there is a greedy crow (called Joe) always tries to stuff more than his beak will hold
....robins (all called Bob) and some very noisy magpies (aaaaark aaaaark) very inconvenient as I am superstitious and have to say good morning to them individually:rolleyes:
I'll try to take some pictures soon, too.

Hmmmmmmm
Have you heard the old adage 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger'

Well I'm a bit concerned that my steroidy lupie pee might not kill the slugs:eek: .

Imagine beefed up little critters munching everything in sight and growlling at people because of pred induced mood swings.

Actually ............that sounds a bit like meself just now:worried:

Hi Alwin,
I support my cucumbers the same way I support my tomato plants.......twine horizontally tied to the greenhouse frame ........then bits of string dangling from it at intervals for me to guide the plants round. They grow a bit like vines so its hard to say how big they get........about 5 foot maybe.
Cucumbers seem to have a tendancy toward mildew so need a lot of ventilation.

The vent things can't be to hard to fit cos hubby did mine:hehe:

And Alwin.......mothers day is much later in the US. Don't you remember all the lovely presents you received in MARCH:lol:

Hey remember to take time to smell the flowers:calm: after all our hard work.
