Hello everyone, I havent been around for a while. I changed jobs from floor nurse to the quality area, a desk job. I feel so much better! The only thing is with being on the computer all day five days a week i really dont get on it at home much.

Today I was talking to one of the newer nurses and she is in the process of finding out what is wrong with her. Her symptoms are the same as mine were. I gave her the link for this site along with some other info. So that got me thinking about everyone here!

I still have joint pain and some fatigue but not nearly as bad as standing and walking the halls all day long. My eye doc said to try a lesser dose of my plaq. So i did and that wasnt good! I am back to the 200 twice daily and recovering from that! My eye exams are normal but he just keeps calling it poison! I asked him if he really thought the alternative drugs would be better, I was kidding, and he said well, no you are right it is the lesser evil. but, we all know that!

Everyone take care and H if you are watching the board join in everyone here is great and very helpful. You can ask them anything! love to all, Lisa

Hello Lisa,

It's good to hear from you again and great to know that you are doing so well. It's amazing what a change/adaptation of activity can do to help us.

I loved your answer to the doc regarding plaquenil - well done you. Unless you actually have eye problems then it's great that plaquenil can help you so much (and remain the safest drug you could be on).

Here's hoping that you continue to feel so good,

Katharine

Hello Weese and Hello H if you are out there.
I am not at all impressed with what the Eye Doc. said to you. Plaquenil is an excellent medication , the risks are miniscule and for you the benefits are worth it.
Glad you dropped in to tell us how you are.

Hi Lisa,

It is wonderful to hear that things have improved for you. Your news may encourage some of our other members to make the appropriate life changes so they will suffer less also. I hope things continue on an even keel for you.

Take care,
