Wow - its been a long time since I posted here (2006!!!) No wonder I had no idea what my password was.

I've just come to tell you of something that is really working for me re pain relief.

A bit of background about me. I have had lupus for about ten years now and have just lived with the pain because I had to give up anti-inflammatories due to the degeneration of my stomach lining (probably due to constant use).

I bought myself a magni-wool magnetic underlay in a half hearted attempt at helping with the intense pain that I live with in my knees, feet, elbow, hands, wrist and various other wandering pain areas.

Since I have been sleeping on this underlay I have had no pain in my knees or anywhere else! (I couldn't walk up or down stairs without pain).

I am no longer as stiff in the mornings and feel much, much better!!!

I pray that it works for all lupus sufferers and highly recommend you try it.

bushcat,

That is great news, where did you get it at would love to try one myself? Knowing my luck it just works for you but am willing to try just about anything that don't have a side effect to it.

Hello Bushcat :)
I am very glad you have found relief ! And thanks for letting us know. It certainly can't do any harm.
I googled this sort of underblanket and could only find NZ or UK suppliers, so it seems they aren't marketed in the USA.
However I have heard of a few people on the forum over the years who have found relief from magnetic devices. I seem to remember that you have to do thorough research and shop around because there's a wide variety and prices, some very expensive.

Tammy, if you ask about this with a specific title, somebody might have personal experience to share. Please do not link to commercial sites.

:)

Before I had Lupus, I bought some magnets for a friend of mine with Fibro. (A resident drugstore went out of business and they were like 70% off) He too reported his pain went away when he used them, but he felt he couldn't use them all the time so I think he abandoned them. Nice to know that repetitive use can help! I will pass this tip along.
